Pray for Heidi Jensen, working at the Christian Embassy at the UN. Praise God for many opportunities to meet and witness to diplomats from around the globe. Pray that God would use these diplomats to foster peace in our world.

March 16
Pray for Jonathan, Zam-Zam and Esther and for the teachers at the school as they face opposition from extremists. Pray also for protection for the students and their families.

March 15
Pray for Mr. Fam, the father of a Victory Church member. Recently hospitalized, he has come to believe in Jesus and wants to learn to pray. Pray for Mike and Delores Kittelson as they visit him, and pray that his wife will also follow Jesus.

March 14
Pray for Josh and Chris Bengtson who continue to live in Sendai after their parents, Dean and Linda, moved to Ishinomaki. Praise God for the way He is using them to share the Gospel with friends and classmates.

March 13
Pray for Joel, Liz, Nate and Tim as they minister in East Asia. Praise God for the favor of the local officials to their work at this time. Pray that visas would be granted to new workers who also want to serve here.

March 12
Pray for Zachary and Alissa Schroer who are learning French in preparation for mission work in Chad. Pray for churches and individuals to support them financially and in prayer.

March 11
Unrest in Mali this past year has also had an effect on Chad which sent troops to help fight radicals in northern Mali. Pray for those suffering in Mali and that this unrest will not spread to Chad. Pray also for the safety of the missionaries in Mali from the LB Church in Cameroon.

March 10
Pray for China Lutheran Seminary Vice President, Joseph Lu, who is taking a year off to study in the States for his PhD. Pray for those who will assume his responsibilities while he is gone. Happy birthday to Ethan Christofferson today.

March 9
Pray for Carrie as she starts a week of French exams tomorrow. Pray also for physical strength during her last months of pregnancy.

March 8
Pray for the LB Seminary in Sendai as they prepare to reopen in 2014. Pray for men and women who would sense the call of God to prepare for church ministry. Pray for Dr. Morita who is now taking courses through distance education.

March 7
Pray for Steve and Stella who are managing the Lutheran Welcome Center. Pray that God would anoint them with His Spirit as they provide hospitality to all who come and spend time there.

March 6
Pray for Roger and Sue Olson and their work at Japanese Ministries, Seattle. Pray for the Japanese students that they interact with and become friends with. Pray that God would soften the hearts of these students studying in the US.

March 5
Jim and Suzy Olsen recently arrived in Calacalí near Quito. Pray for them as they settle in and acclimate and train for ministry at El Refugio, a retreat center that trains nationals to reach their communities for Christ.

Pray for our LBIM Taiwan missionaries as they meet for their annual field conference tomorrow. Pray for God’s wisdom as they plan for future Hakka ministry.

Dean and Linda Bengtson have moved to Ishinomaki where they have been coordinating tsunami relief work. Pray that God will work through the friendships they have made to launch a new church there.

March 2
Pray for Paul and Teresa and their family as they continue with intense study of Chadian Arabic. Pray for steady acquisition and increased ability to communicate the Gospel to others.

March 1
A group of Christians are working at a booth during the Lantern Festival, Feb. 24 - March 10, sharing the Gospel through words and music. Pray that many with prepared hearts will be drawn to the booth.

February 28
Pray for John and Caristy Olson and their children, Nikolas, Mikah and Hadassah, as they minister in the English department of Victory Church. Pray that the Spirit of God will speak through their lives and words to all those in their circle of relationships.

February 27
Pray for the indigenous missionaries that the Chadian Church has sent out to work among unreached Muslim people groups in Chad. Pray for their protection and that many hearts would be moved and open to the Word that is being spoken and lived out in their villages by these Chadian families.

February 26
Praise God for the ministry of Roger and Sue Olson at Japanese Ministries at Rock of Ages LBC in Seattle. Pray for them as they befriend and interact with many college-age young people who are here studying in the US. May God use them to make disciples of many young Japanese.

February 25
Praise God for the continued ministry of the Gift Project, a ministry of support for special needs children and parents. Pray that the believing parents of special needs children will be a light of the Father’s love that will draw other parents to Him.

February 24
Pray for the salvation of Mr. W, friend of Ethan and Sandy Christofferson. Mr. W would like to open his home to a Bible study. Pray that his wife would agree to this kind of study as well.

February 23
Pray for Zachary and Alissa Schroer, preparing for future ministry in Chad. Pray for their ongoing study in Eau Claire, and for the financial and prayer support needed.

February 22
Pray for Mr. S and his parents, friends of Dean and Linda Bengtson in Ishinomaki, who are still grappling with the effects of the tsunami on their home and jobs. Pray that the compassion of Christians would speak to their hearts, opening them up to the saving grace of Jesus.

Pray for peace in Chad and for wisdom and integrity for those in leadership. Pray for the famine relief efforts that are ongoing there.

Pray for John and Kathryn Wile as they meet with our missionaries. Pray that their ministry would encourage our mission staff and bring needed refreshment for sharing the Gospel with many in Taiwan.

Pray for Marcos, Kirsten, Lucas, Hans, Betsy and Katie. Pray for Marcos’ continuing citizenship process.

Pray for the young LB Japanese pastors who have been selected to receive further theological training in preparation for teaching at the seminary when it reopens in 2014.

Liz writes, “We want to give thanks for the safe arrival of the baby boy that we prayed about--the one everyone but the mother and daughter wanted to abort.” (DPN 9-7-12) Continue to pray that this family will come to Christ.

Mike and Delores Kittelson ask prayer for the Victory Hakka Fellowship as they plan for this year’s evangelism and discipleship activities. Pray that the Spirit of God will create a hunger among the Hakka to know Him.
