Pray for a friend of Ethan Christofferson who is seeking to follow God’s will even when he doesn’t understand it. Pray for other believers to come around him to encourage and mentor him.

Pray for Ethan and Sandy Christofferson and their family as they share in churches about their ministry in Taiwan. Pray for quality time with their extended family and for times of refreshment during their home assignment.

April 27
Pray for Nathanael and Carrie and their family as they finish their course work and prepare to return to the States in May for a few months in preparation for ministry in Chad. Happy birthday to Carrie today.

Pray for Roger Olson as he visits Japan (4/27-5/10) to perform two weddings, do some preaching and visit their daughter Hannah and her husband Kenichi and Dean and Linda Bengtson. Pray that God will use him to encourage others.

April 25
Pray for Ruth Vallevik, Evie Olson and Sue Olson as they fly to Japan tomorrow to be part of the celebration of 50 years of LB Women’s Ministries in Japan. Pray for them as they visit churches and encourage and care for women in ministry.

April 24
Pray for Paul and Teresa and their family as they have launched into learning Chadian Arabic. Pray for continued guidance in choosing a language program, helper and conversation partners.

April 23
As we in the CLB near the end of our fiscal year, pray that our leaders will have wisdom and guidance regarding God’s direction for our family of churches. Pray for those who are preparing for mission work that we would be moved to support them financially and in prayer.

April 22
Pray for a young LB man named Stephen who wants to be a missionary to the unreached of Chad. He recently sought out Paul for counsel. Pray for God to guide him to the necessary training.

April 21
Praise God that the government visit to the offices where Joel works went well and they were awarded a 4-year registration renewal! Pray for Joel and Liz to be granted visas for continued work in this creative- access country.

April 20
Stephen and Sandra ask for prayer for the Parent Resource Center, as an expert in special needs children will be visiting there. Pray that the parents will be drawn to the Center and be befriended by those who already know the Savior.

April 19
Pray that the Lord would bless the work of the Welcome Center to serve His mission purposes in Chad. Happy birthday to Teresa and happy 2nd birthday to Claire today.

April 18
Pray for Mike and Delores Kittelson as they minister in the Hakka Fellowship at Victory Church. Pray that God would work in their friends’ lives to remove obstacles to believing the Gospel.

April 17
Pray for the Japanese Ministries at Rock of Ages LBC, Seattle. Pray for the weekly JOY classes for young Japanese women and their children. Pray as Roger and Sue Olson introduce these women to Jesus by their love for them.

April 16
Jonathan and Zam-Zam ask prayer for the new students at their school this year, that they would be open, as the older students are, to the Bible stories that are taught there. Pray also for the new adult classes that have been started.

April 15
Pray for Arnie and Bonita Nordaas as they share in the morning worship today at Hachinohe Church, where they served from 1981-85. They praise God for those who were in Sunday School back then and are now leaders in the church.

April 14
Pray for a friend of Andrew and Kris Larsen who, as a new Christian, still struggles with ancestor worship. Pray that those barriers would be torn down. Happy birthday to Kris today.

April 13
Pray for Marcos and Kirsten and their family. Praise God that Marcos received his Green Card. Please pray that the details of the next steps in the citizenship process will go well. Happy 5th birthday to Katie today.

Pray for the Theological Council as they meet today. They will interview Ordination candidates among other important issues. Pray too for the Council of Directors as they meet beginning late afternoon and tomorrow.

April 11
Pray for Dan as he visits rural communities in which wells, funded by LB congregations, have been installed. Pray that God would open the way to share about the source of eternal life-giving water.

April 10
Continue to pray for a young friend of Joel and Liz (DPN 2/28/12) who is exploring the Christian faith. She is anxious about her future after graduating from college this spring. Pray that God will give her direction and grant her faith to know and trust Him.

April 9
Praise God that Julie, a friend of Ethan and Sandy Christofferson, recently became a believer. Pray for her as she faces intense opposition from her family and as she goes through treatment for advanced stages of cancer.

April 8
Pray for Paul and Teresa and their family who are making the adjustments to living in a harsh climate. It’s very hot and dusty and some family members are struggling with breathing problems and allergies. Pray for coping skills and stamina.

April 7
Pray for Arnie and Bonita Nordaas as they celebrate their last Easter in Japan. Praise God that Gary and Minori Clark, English teachers in Odate, will be baptized tomorrow. May they grow in their knowledge of and faith in God.

Pray for Stephen and Sandra as they explain to their friends the meaning of Easter. Pray that their friends might understand and be open to the Easter message.

Pray for the Christian Embassy as they host diplomats today from many countries to observe Maundy Thursday. Pray for Pastor Rick Bridston as he shares a message about Christ’s gracious sacrifice for all people.

Pray for Dean and Linda Bengtson as they look for a building to use as a center for their ministry in the tsunami ravaged area in and around Ishinomaki. May God continue to guide them in the ways He wants to use them.

Pray for Dan, Rachel, Gabe, Sylvia, Tevi and Claire. Pray for stamina and resistance to illness. Pray for endurance, perseverance and proper rest in the hot season.

Pray for Steve and Janice as they continue to wait on God’s leading for their ministry in Chad. Pray for God’s healing touch on their daughter Emma. Happy birthday to Janice today.

Praise God that friends of Dean and Linda Bengtson from Ishinomaki attended the Celebration of Hope evangelistic meetings sponsored by Samaritan’s Purse. Pray that these friends will hunger for understanding of the Gospel and be brought to faith.

Please pray for the missionaries from the Cameroon LBC who are serving in Mali, Africa. Six families sent and supported by the CLBC are taking the Gospel to this west Africa nation. Pray for an effective Gospel outreach, safety and good health for these families

Pray for Kris Kraakmo, who is teaching English classes in Sendai. Pray for his class time, chapel times and as he builds relationships with his students.
