Pray for Dean and Linda Bengtson who are making final arrangements for sponsoring a Hawaiian Luau Day in their new Ishinomaki neighborhood on the 20th. Please pray that God will use this event to advance the Gospel.

Pray for Heidi Jensen and the Christian Embassy at the UN as she teaches conversational English to diplomat wives from several countries. Pray that God would use this class to speak to these ladies and open their hearts to the Gospel.

Nathanael asks for prayer as he preaches at their local church. Pray that he might preach God’s Word with clarity. Pray also for Carrie as she encourages Sophie, who is a new Christian. (Sophie helps Carrie with French and Carrie helps her with English.)

Andrew and Kris Larsen write that Ms. J, their daughter Noelle’s former ballet instructor, recently contacted Kris about getting together. Pray that she will be curious about and open to hearing the Gospel. Happy birthday to Kris today.

Pray for Marcos and Kirsten as they continue to work towards citizenship for Marcos and their eventual return to the ministry that God has called them to. Happy 6th birthday to Katie today!

Stephen and Sandra ask prayer for the wedding tomorrow of a former colleague in Asia. Pray that the Gospel witness of this couple will impact the mostly unbelieving Asian family members and guests in attendance.

April 11
Pray for Pastor Hisashi and Junko Sasaki as they plan for a student tour group to North America in May. Pray that God will open the hearts of the students and prepare the homes they will stay in while on tour. Pray that the Gospel will be clearly commun-icated to these Japanese students.

April 10
Pray for the Chinese LB Annual Women’s Meeting tomorrow at Victory LB Church, Hsinchu. May the Lord bring encouragement and spiritual renewal to all who attend.

April 9
Pray for Dan and a group of men from Eau Claire, WI, and Fergus Falls, MN, who travel to Chad tomorrow for two weeks. They will visit twelve villages where wells have been drilled. Pray that these visits will provide opportunities to give the water of eternal life in Jesus Christ.

April 8
Pray for Ethan and Sandy Christofferson as they work among the Hakka in their neighborhood. Continue to pray for Mr. W who is trying to understand the God of the Bible. May the Word of God create faith in his heart.

Pray for Paul and Teresa as they have again taken over the responsibilities of the Lutheran Welcome Center during Steve and Stella’s home assignment. Pray for the added rest, physical strength and stamina that are needed during the hot season.

Pray for Joel and Liz. Pray for wisdom and grace for Joel in his administrative duties, and for Liz as she relates to students and neighbors.

Please remember Zachary and Alissa Schroer in prayer. Zachary has a specific heart condition and he has encountered a major set-back. This delays their process toward ministry in Chad.

Roger and Sue Olson, Rock of Ages Japanese Ministries, Seattle, praise God for the continued spiritual growth of Marina and Misato who were baptized in Jan. 2012. Pray for their continued witness with friends and family.

Tomorrow is Tomb Sweeping Day in Taiwan. Pray for the many believers faced with the challenge of finding acceptable, Christ-like ways to respect their ancestors while others are worshiping them.

Pray for Steve and Stella, volunteer managers of the Lutheran Welcome Center, as they are on a three-month home assignment. Pray that they will be refreshed and will enjoy time with their family and friends.

Praise God for providing a home for Dean and Linda Bengtson in Ishinomaki—the area they have been working in since the tsunami. Pray for God’s peace as they live in an earthquake prone and still devastated community.

On this Easter Sunday, let us pray that the glorious power of the resurrection will be evidenced through God’s Church around the world in word and deed.

Pray for victory over the spiritual forces that war against the advancement of the Gospel among unreached people groups. Pray for a hunger among them to know Jesus. Pray for protection for believers and missionaries as they shine the light of Christ.

Pray for the unreached people group Marcos and Kirsten worked among. Pray for the translation of God’s Word into their language. Pray for Marcos as he continues to work on this translation from here in the States. Happy 7th birthday to Betsy today.

Many homes in Ishinomaki have been gutted and cleaned by Dean and Linda Bengtson, their volunteer friends and Samaritan’s Purse. Pray that God’s Spirit would open the hearts of their neighbors to the Gospel, especially during the Easter season. Happy birthday to Dean today.

Continue to pray for new workers to minister alongside indigenous Chadian missionaries. Pray for a passion in our North American churches to reach the lost around the world.

Pray for Pastor Ye, the newly elected president of the Chinese LB Church in Taiwan. Pray for God’s anointing on him as he leads the churches in exploring new avenues of ministry.

March 25
Pray for Nathanael and Carrie and their children, now in their last months in France. Pray as they plan for their future work in Chad. Happy birthday today to Mercy, Nathanael’s younger sister, also studying in France.

Pray for John and Kathryn Wile of Barnabas International, who serve as the Pastoral Care Team to our missionaries. They are both on the Barnabas leadership team and ask for prayer as they make plans for future ministry.

Pray for Ayumi – her husband is pastor at the Seminary Church and her parents are Pastor Hisashi and Junko Sasaki. She is bedridden and unable to care for herself. Pray for God’s healing power and for the doctor who attends her.

Pray for Andrew and Kris Larsen as they make decisions about future schooling needs for their children. Happy 15th birthday today to Hannah Christofferson and happy 7th birthday to Noelle Larsen tomorrow.

Today is World Down Syndrome Day. Pray for the families with Down Syndrome children at the Gift Center in this creative-access country that they may be equipped to help their children develop to their fullest potential and know God’s love in Jesus Christ.

Pray for the Japanese LB Synod as they hold their annual meeting tomorrow. Pray for encouragement through the Word and for God’s leading regarding future ministries.
