Pray for preparations for the re-opening of the seminary in 2014. Pray for the training of new professors and for the Lord to raise up new workers for the Church who will apply and receive equipping for ministry.

Pray for parliamentary elections that will occur in July. Pray for just leaders and a political climate that is conducive to the spread of the Gospel.

May 21
Pray for the home-stay tour group from the Seminary Church led by Pastor Hisashi and Junko Sasaki that leaves Japan today. They will be visiting Fergus Falls, MN, Seattle, WA, and cities in Canada. Pray that the Christian homes where they stay would have a positive spiritual impact on the high school students on this tour.

Pray for the Victory Hakka Fellowship believers who are married to unbelievers. May they have opportunity to graciously lead their spouses to Jesus. Pray for Mike and Delores Kittelson as they participate in this process of sharing the truth of Jesus.

Sandra asks prayer for a young autistic woman who recently lost her mother to cancer. Pray for comfort for her and also for a permanent living situation. Both of her parents came to faith through the ministry of the Gift Center.

May 18
Pray that the witness of the men from WI & MN who traveled to Chadian villages with Dan last month would be fruitful among those they visited with. Pray that God will use these relationships to reveal His grace to unreached people groups in Chad. Happy 11th birthday to Tevi today.

Heidi Jensen of Christian Embassy, recently visited with a UN diplomat from Chad who said, “The missionaries in my village were Don and Orpha Raun. We also knew Dr. Dave and Joan Thompson” (both formerly with LBIM). Praise God! Pray that this diplomat will live to God’s glory.

Pray for Ms. U, a new Victory Hakka Fellowship member who recently broke her leg and arm in an accident. She is concerned for the salvation of her six children. Pray that God will help her use her recovery time for sharing Jesus’ love with her children.

May 15
Pray for the Takanosu and Odate churches in Northern Akita prefecture. Pastor Takeshi Sasaki is pastoring both churches. Pray for strength and wisdom for him and also that his ministry would bless these congregations.

May 14
Pray for strength and stamina for Nathanael and Carrie as they juggle family life, especially with the addition of a new baby, school and preparations as they anticipate their move to ministry in Chad this summer. Happy 2nd birthday to Cyril today.

May, June and July are typically hard months for the people of Chad. Food begins to run out and many go hungry while they wait for the harvest. Pray that food from other parts of the world will reach those who are suffering.

Pray that God will move in the hearts of the 34 Japanese students who just arrived in the Seattle area. Pray for believers at Rock of Ages LBC, Seattle, as they proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ in word and deed to them.

Pray for A, whose parents are both believers from the church that Andrew and Kris Larsen attend. Pray that the Holy Spirit would work in the hearts of A and his wife to be open to the Gospel.

Pray for stamina as Paul and Teresa and their family cover the management of the Lutheran Welcome Center during Steve and Stella’s home assignment. Happy 13th birthday to Titus today.

Pray for Zachary and Alissa Schroer as they wait for further medical test results for Zachary. Pray for them as they prepare for the birth of their first child later this summer.

Pray for Nan, a young friend of Joel and Liz. Her parents oppose her new faith but are visiting her for a few weeks in order to meet her friends and attend church with her. Pray that they too would be drawn to Christ.

Pray for Dean and Linda Bengtson as they continue to befriend their new neighbors in Ishinomaki. Pray for wisdom and direction as they work toward an eventual church plant in this tsunami-ravaged city.

Andrew and Kris Larsen ask prayer for Mr. Y, that he would grow in faith and that his wife and daughter will come to know the Lord as well. Pray for many opportunities for Andrew and Kris to minister to this family.

Carrie’s due date for their 3rd child is in early May. Pray for a safe delivery, a healthy baby and for the family’s adjustments to this new addition. Happy birthday to Carrie today.

Pray for Chadian LB missionary Pastor Elloi, his wife Rachel, and their ten children, who are doing mission work among an unreached people group. Pray for good health, peace and Spirit-anointed boldness.

American pastor Saeed Abedini returned to Iran last year to help build an orphanage. He was arrested for his faith and sentenced to eight years imprisonment. He writes, “I deeply need God’s saving grace so that I can be the fragrant scent of Christ in the dark house of Evin prison.” Pray for his family in the U.S. and for his release.

April 24
Pray for John and Caristy Olson and their children as they minister to the English-speaking members of their congregation. Pray for new opportunities to share the Gospel in their apartment complex and in their neighborhood.
